Salt Springs Road Industrial Park
To provide new economic opportunities, many of these abandoned sites have been replaced with brownfield redevelopment initiatives. ms consultants supplied a wide range of services to the City of Youngstown and various tenants for the Salt Springs Road Industrial Park. A transformation of abandoned land into an economic keystone for the region through multiple projects.
Highlights include:
- The Toys R Us Distribution Center is located on a 40-acrea parcel of the industrial park. Because of heavy traffic, ms engineers extended existing roadways to handle 100 trucks per day.
- A new 300,000-square-foot manufacturing facility and warehouse, Brentwood Originals, was completed in seven months from start of construction to operation start-up.
- Completed on a fast-track schedule, the AT&T (Ameritech) Complex was developed to consolidate the offices and service facilities for Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties in one location. The 100,000-square-foot project was completed for AT&T (Ameritech) personnel in less than nine months.
- A 2,000 foot access roadway that connects the brownfield site with Meridian Road to serve the second phase of the Salt Springs Road Industrial Park.
