To support the ms Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) commitment, groups and committees have taken action throughout the organization. See some highlights below.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY, + INCLUSION CORE AREAS

The ms DEI Team focuses the development and implementation of a comprehensive DEI program in five core areas, each area having its own subcommittee. This ensures ms DEI initiatives are actionable and followed through in support of the company’s overall DEI commitment.

  • Awareness: responsible for training and educational materials on diversity, equity and inclusion issues throughout the organization
  • Recruiting + Retention: ensuring our recruiting processes identify diverse candidate pools and assessing retention policies that can lead to a more inclusive work environment
  • Supplier Diversity: encouraging the use of women-, minority-, disabled-, and/or veteran-owned vendors and subconsultants
  • Community Impact: supporting community involvement with diverse organizations and supporting efforts in the community to diversify the design professional community
  • Communication: communicating within our company and externally the ms DEI commitment and impact

EMPLOYEE RESOURCE GROUPS

The ms employee resource groups are voluntary groups to support like-minded professionals within the organization. The groups are employee-led and employee-driven and continue to evolve to meet the needs of various groups of individuals at ms. 

  • ms Young Professionals: a group of young professionals that will make significant impacts to the organization and will collaborate throughout their careers. The group’s purpose is to develop ms young professionals by providing education programs, career development workshops, and social events.
  • ms Women’s Group: a group dedicated to support and engage the women of ms that provides supportive relationships in an open and honest environment. The group’s purpose is to equip women with the skills for success within ms and the AEC industry, promoting equity in business and empowering women to reach their potential.
