Michael D. Kratofil, PE, has been appointed ms consultants’ new president. The former President and CEO, Thomas E. Mosure, PE, becomes the chairman of the board as the firm transitions to its next generation of ownership. Additionally, Monica Mosure has been appointed the chief administrative officer and Thomas P. Mosure, PE, has been appointed the chief growth officer. Ms. Mosure and Mr. Mosure are both of the third generation of family ownership for the engineering, architecture, and planning firm. These key changes prepare the company for future growth and for generational leadership for the future.
Mr. Kratofil joined ms consultants in 1987. Over the last 34 years, he has had a meaningful and diverse career path with the firm. Initially joining the firm as an intern in the Youngstown office, Mr. Kratofil evolved from an environmental engineer to a branch manager, and eventually became the firm’s chief operating officer. Now, Mr. Kratofil will use his leadership experience and business strategies to lead the firm as the new President and CEO.

In addition to Mr. Kratofil’s new role, Monica Mosure and Thomas P. Mosure are preparing the firm for growth while also transitioning to the firm’s third generational family ownership. As chief administrative officer, Ms. Mosure will integrate all administrative areas in the firm. Thomas P. Mosure will become the chief growth officer and will drive the firm’s growth strategy through all regions, business units, and markets.
The previous President and CEO of ms consultants since 1994, and now Chairman of the Board, Thomas E. Mosure, is excited for the firm’s future and its third generation of family ownership, saying, “I have no doubt in the future success of ms consultants and the bright future ahead.
