ms consultants, inc., an engineering, architectural, and planning firm headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, announced that Dan Cutshaw, PE, has joined the firm as a Senior Business Project Manager for their Environmental division in the Indianapolis, Indiana office.  Mr. Cutshaw brings nearly 30 years of experience with focuses on water and wastewater treatment; specifically, water treatment, water hydraulics, pump stations, tanks, distribution lines, sewer rehabilitation and storm sewer design.

Mr. Cutshaw received his Civil Engineering Technology degree from Purdue University and since has worked for two engineering firms gaining experience in the field and as a business manager. He will be bringing years of experience, extensive business knowledge, and engineering expertise to ms. Utilization of teaming and communication skills over the years have lead Mr. Cutshaw to lead innovative and cost saving projects while still meeting financial and engineering benchmarks. While working on a previous project for INDOT, Mr. Custhaw cut budget costs from $20-30 million down to just over $1 million to perform an interchange rehabilitation.

“Keeping up to date on the latest drinking water standards” is something Mr. Cutshaw believes is important to his work, “the high expectations of the public for high quality and safe water, with the latest water quality crisis in Flint, Michigan, we need to be educated on the problems and be able to respond to concerned clients with answers.”

Recently, Mr. Cutshaw has spoken at many conferences, including Indiana AWWA, Ohio Rural Water Association and the National Rural Water Association. He has provided expertise on a variety of topics, including engineering principles and handling total trihalomethanes (TTHM) in distribution systems.
