Matt is the guy you need to find if you want to talk Cleveland sports or kick off a highway project. Being a Cleveland fan isn’t for the faint of heart, but Matt takes it all in stride. We asked Matt to tell us a bit more about his life on and off the clock.

I started at ms when I was 19 years old during the summer of 1999, I have worked inspection, surveying, and currently work in the transportation department as a Senior Highway Technician along with handling the Right-Of-Way responsibilities here at ms Youngstown. I currently reside in Austintown, Ohio, with my wife, Annissa, and dog Cocoa.

What was your first job?
Bus boy for the Moonraker.

 

What is one item on your bucket list?
Watch a Browns Superbowl??

Guns and Roses.

 

If you could have a cup of coffee with anyone, who would it be?
Warren Buffet, for stock tips.

 

Favorite food?
Pasta with crushed sausage and hot peppers.

Jimmy Buffet in Pittsburgh.

Alaska, on a cruise.

If there was a holiday in your honor, what would it celebrate?
National Lawn and Maintenance Day

Adam Sandler

 

If you could live one day over again, which would you pick?
Winning the Colt League Championship against Boardman. We were down 1, bottom of the 7th, 2 outs, 2 strikes and I doubled to right center to win the championship.

I believe the family atmosphere benefits us as a whole.

 

What is the best career advice you have ever received?
Work hard and be respectful, that’s all anyone can ask.

 

Which project are you most proud to have been a part of, and why?
U.S. 224 in Canfield, Ohio. One of many jobs we received a lot of praise for.

 

If you weren’t an engineer, what would you be doing?
Private Investment Advisor

 

What would you go back and tell your 22 year old self?
I told you one of our Cleveland teams would eventually win a Championship.

 

You’ve got one day in Youngstown. What do you do?
Check out all the good restaurants and bars. A lot of great places to eat in Youngstown.

 

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Golfing and spending time with my family.
