The Conway Center for Family Business honored ms with an award at their 23rd annual program.
ms received the Succession Planning & Implementation Award. This award recognizes the successful development or completion of succession plans.
ABOUT THE CONWAY CENTER FOR FAMILY BUSINESS
The non-profit Conway Center for Family Business began in Central Ohio in 1998. They serve as a primary resource for family-owned businesses in the region.
The Conway Center provides educational programs, resources, and networking opportunities for their members. They offer peer group opportunities for family business leaders. The organization includes more than 200 family-owned businesses. These organizations range in size from three to more than 20,000 employees.
The Conway Center for Family Business’ Annual Family Business Awards celebrates members’ achievements. The program recognized excellence in family business throughout Central Ohio. Categories of recognition range from community engagement, to re-invention, and succession planning.
MS TRANSITION OF LEADERSHIP
In August, ms announced Mike Kratofil, PE, would be the firm’s new president. The former President, Thomas E. Mosure, PE, then became chairman of the board. This transition signaled the official transition into ms’ next generation of ownership.
In addition, Monica Mosure transitioned to chief administrative officer. Thomas P. Mosure, PE, transitioned to chief growth officer. Monica and Thomas P. are both of the third generation of family ownership for ms. These changes prepare ms for future growth and generational leadership for the future.
The previous President of ms since 1994, Thomas E. Mosure, is excited about the firm’s future. “I have no doubt in the future success of ms and the bright future ahead. Mike and the third generation of family ownership have shown tremendous dedication, growth, and success within our company and our industry.”
SUCCESSION PLANNING & IMPLEMENTATION AWARD

ms was founded on family values that have made the firm successful. The succession plan provides the foundation to keep these values intact.
