ms receives Succession Planning & Implementation Award

In August, ms announced Mike Kratofil, PE, would be the firm’s new president. The former President, Thomas E. Mosure, PE, then became chairman of the board. This transition signaled the official transition into ms’ next generation of ownership.

In addition, Monica Mosure transitioned to chief administrative officer. Thomas P. Mosure, PE, transitioned to chief growth officer. Monica and Thomas P. are both of the third generation of family ownership for ms. These changes prepare ms for future growth and generational leadership for the future.

The previous President of ms since 1994, Thomas E. Mosure, is excited about the firm’s future. “I have no doubt in the future success of ms and the bright future ahead. Mike and the third generation of family ownership have shown tremendous dedication, growth, and success within our company and our industry.”

ms was honored to receive the Succession Planning & Implementation Award at the Conway Center for Family Business’ 23rd Annual Family Business Awards program. This award recognizes the development or completion of a succession plan or transfer of leadership.

Julie Collinsworth, executive director of the Conway Center commented, “Family businesses are the backbone of the American economy and are vital to the Central Ohio economy and community. ms, through its performance and resiliency in a year filled with challenges, has excelled in its field and is deserving of this recognition.”

ms was founded on family values that have made the firm successful. The succession plan provides the foundation to keep these values intact.
