My dedication to the engineering industry was cultivated at an early age. I remember meeting the technical staff and listening with fascination to their challenges and solutions. When I began working at the company as a young print boy, construction inspector, surveyor and eventual engineering student, I joined as an eager apprentice to their knowledge and experience. Many of those individuals who took the time to patiently explain a calculation or consider my own suggestions are still active participants of the company four decades later. They are the heart of professional excellence and mentoring that transfigured ms consultants from a civil engineering and planning firm to a multidiscipline engineering and architecture organization with multiple offices and a diverse range of services.
ms’ emergence and growth follows a blueprint that was drawn by the talents and strengths of our people. Our project team approach allows us to combine the technical expertise from our various service sectors choreographed through a project manager to deliver added value to our clients. We are, in essence, a brain trust working with daily collaboration – sharing resources and creativity. This evolution does not just happen – it is developed through years of training, working together, and communicating. We are a community of professionals, all working toward a mutual goal – providing more capabilities, services, and value to our clients.
Recent studies have shown that ms’ sustainability is noteworthy. Since 1980, ms has been on Engineering News-Record’s “Top 500 Design Firms” list, and during the 35+ year history, ms has seen an average annual growth of 10%. In comparison, since 1977, only 53 firms, out of 1,754, have stayed on that list, and only 24 have positively increased their rank. Over the years, ms has accomplished this impressive task, a true mark of sustainable leadership.
It is because of you, through learning and growth, internal practices, and customer focus, that we can achieve our financial goals year after year.
The principles of our past, adjusted for advanced technologies, prepares us for the future.
Working with you today, we develop solutions for tomorrow.
