A major industrial site has been targeted for reuse in Mount Vernon.
About 358,356 square feet of space is up for lease at the Siemens Energy Inc. plant on N. Sandusky Street near downtown Mount Vernon in Knox County. The listing is being taken on by CBRE's Kevin Connor and Weston Devore.
CBRE data show that the company is leasing about half a dozen buildings on its campus, including three industrial plants, some storage space and testing facilities.
The data show one 100,186-square-foot industrial plant with 16 drive-in doors and a 97,427-square-foot industrial plant with one dock and 10 drive-in doors. The plant also has rail access and heavy power supply.
Siemens will continue to occupy a number of the buildings on the southeast corner of the property, including its main plant, main warehouse, an engineering center and administration building on W. Sugar Street.
