ms consultants, inc., an engineering, architectural, and planning firm located in downtown Indianapolis, announced that Dax Norton has joined its team. He joins ms as a Municipal Administration and Management Consultant. Mr. Norton will be helping municipalities, including counties, cities and towns in Indiana and throughout the ms region in developing day-to-day management of all administrative and governance functions. He will also help secure avenues of financing for much-needed capital and economic development projects.   

Mr. Norton joins the firm after spending numerous years in the public sector. Most recently, he served as the town manager for Whitestown, Indiana, the state’s fastest-growing municipality. In this role since 2013, he led the community through a period of great growth and development. During his time as town manager, Mr. Norton closed numerous economic development projects which brought an estimated 1,600 jobs to the area. To keep up with Whitestown’s growth, Mr. Norton also assisted in securing state and federal funds dedicated to financing the community’s infrastructure and public safety.

While discussing his transition to the private sector, Mr. Norton says, “I am excited to join this great firm as a consultant and use my years of economic development and municipal executive experience to assist current and future ms consultants’ client municipalities all across Indiana and the ms region.”

Mr. Norton also held public sector roles with the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs, Boone County Economic Development Corporation and Blackford County Economic Development Corporation.
