ms consultants, inc. an engineering, architectural, and planning firm headquartered in Columbus, Ohio announced that Tony Urankar has joined their team. He joins their Akron, Ohio office in the Global Business Development division. Mr. Urankar brings more than 25 years of experience in leadership and strategic planning to the firm.
Mr. Urankar graduated with a degree in Mass Communication & Journalism from St. Bonaventure University. Throughout his career he has relied on communication, teamwork, and critical thinking to continually build his skill set. Specializing in change management and strategic planning, Mr. Urankar has led many impressive project initiatives. One key initiative was the development and marketing of the “DoTheDetour.org” website for Summit and Stark County highway improvement projects. Marketing efforts included distribution of educational materials and public speaking appearances to inform the public of upcoming projects. These projects will total $500 million worth of roadway improvements by 2022.
When asked about future trends and the greatest needs in his industry, Mr. Urankar commented “Knowledge transfer in all organizations is critical over the next 10-20 years. Understanding the roles of all parties within an organization will play an even greater role when it comes to continuing to meet and exceed customer’s expectations at the same level of service while cultivating improved relationships. Training and continual improvement to existing processes will also be challenged as technologies change going forward in all industries.”
