This year, the hard work of our employees landed us at #262 on the architecture firm list. Each year, Architectural Record ranks the top U.S. architecture firms based on each firm’s architecture revenue from the prior year.  

In honor of our new ranking we have rounded up some of our latest and greatest architecture projects below!

ms consultants is providing full architectural, civil and structural engineering services for the Stambaugh building historic renovation. The 12-story building is located at Central Square in Downtown Youngstown, Ohio. The renovation transforms the historic structure into a Doubletree by Hilton Hotel. The new hotel will be the first hotel in Downtown Youngstown since 1974! 

Once renovations are complete, the new DoubleTree by Hilton will include 133 guest rooms and suites, first-floor restaurant and retail spaces, second-floor lobby, bar and meeting spaces, and a future rooftop bar.

To meet the demands of its college athletes year-round, Youngstown State University contacted our team to design and construct an energy-efficient, multi-purpose, indoor athletic training facility. ms consultants provided an initial program assessment, final design services, sustainable design services, and construction administration for the 125,000-square-foot facility. WATTS was the recipient of the 2013 Honor Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Ohio and achieved LEED® Silver certification.

ALDI and ms have partnered for nearly a decade. Working to help ALDI, Inc. grow its brand image and market share, ms consultants was selected as a partner for our comprehensive and streamlined services. Having provided architecture services for ALDI stores across the country, our team of experts have worked on numerous projects, both prototypes and existing buildings

ms consultants has been providing full service architecture and engineering services to Value City Furniture since 2005. Working alongside Value City Furniture’s Construction and Store Planning Departments, ms consultants recently completed a new build and design project at Polaris Fashion Place. The new construction is a 37,500 square foot building which sits on 3.38 acres featuring a glass façade at the entrance and vertical green walls which will allow vegetation to grow up the façade.

When the City Center Mall, located in downtown Columbus, Ohio, became obsolete, locals wanted to redevelop the area into a multipurpose green space. Once the location of a 3-story, 1.2 million square foot shopping center, Columbus Commons is now a 6 acre park featuring manicured gardens, a state-of-the-arts performance stage, a carousel, NEOS play system, bocce ball courts, and two cafes. Each year, Columbus Commons host over 200 events for locals to enjoy. ms consultants provided architectural design services, as well as electrical and mechanical engineering for this project.

With a growing downtown Columbus population, residents began facing storage issues. To combat this issue, ms consultants designed a five story, 73,000 square foot, easy-to-access facility. The storage space offers climate-controlled storage, 24/7 security, a loading zone with vehicle access, retail spaces, office spaces, humidity-controlled wine storage, and a wine tasting room. Tri-Village Self Storage facility was the recipient of the 2016 New Facility of the Year award from Mini-Storage Messenger.
