Youngstown Convocation Center

This multi-purpose convocation center and sports arena sits on the edge of downtown Youngstown, Ohio, and was developed on nearly 20 acres of reclaimed industrial land.

Since opening, this state-of-the-art facility has hosted a wide range of events, including arena football, ice hockey, conferences, concerts, and family entertainment events. The facility includes arena-style seating, as well as club seating, luxury suites, a full-service kitchen, concessions, and meeting spaces.

ms consultants provided architectural programming, architectural design, interior finishes and amenities, and construction documents for the arena, as well as bidding assistance, construction administration, and closeout. Site design included site grading and drainage, utilities, parking and roadway access.

ms also provided all environmental assessments and remediation for the site, which was formerly the location of one of the areas largest steel mills. Engineering services also included geotechnical drilling, testing and foundation design.
